Included Health Launches AI-Powered Provider Connect for Personalized Physician Matching

Included Health has launched Provider Connect, an AI-powered physician matching platform designed to help members identify high-quality, in-network healthcare providers based on clinical, financial, and personal preference data.

The new experience is integrated into Dot, Included Health’s AI assistant, allowing users to search for doctors using natural language prompts, review out-of-pocket cost estimates, and book appointments through a single interface.

According to the company, Provider Connect is powered by 45 billion clinical and cost data points collected from 140 million patients, alongside more than 300 specialty-specific quality measures.

The platform combines longitudinal clinical history with real-time member context to recommend providers based on medical condition, insurance coverage, and personal preferences such as gender and race or ethnicity. Included Health said these matching factors are associated with stronger patient trust and improved treatment adherence.

Provider Connect also generates explainable quality scores and “why this doctor” summaries intended to improve transparency around provider recommendations.

Included Health said the platform aims to address growing pressure on employers to manage healthcare costs while helping members navigate provider networks that often lack detailed quality information.

Historical performance data from Included Health’s provider matching capabilities showed a 92% increase in referrals to top-quartile clinicians and a 9% reduction in total care costs per referral, according to the company.

Nupur Srivastava, chief operating officer at Included Health, said the integration with Dot allows the platform to connect users with physicians who are highly relevant to their care needs.

The company said the recommendation engine continuously evaluates patient and provider data to personalize matches rather than relying on static search filters or directory listings.

Provider Connect is embedded across Included Health’s broader care platform, including virtual primary care, navigation services, and care management programs. Members can access provider recommendations while interacting with the platform for other services, including insurance coverage questions and virtual care support.

The company also said the platform supports its alternative health plan models by aligning member financial incentives with higher-quality providers in an effort to reduce avoidable healthcare spending linked to lower-quality care.
