Himachal Upgrades Diagnostic Network with INR 213 Cr Health Overhaul

In a decisive move to strengthen its public healthcare infrastructure, the Himachal Pradesh government has rolled out a ₹213.75 crore modernization plan focused on improving diagnostic capabilities across state-run hospitals.
The initiative aims to integrate advanced medical technologies to enable faster and more accurate disease detection.
Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu emphasized the importance of timely diagnosis in preventing health complications and directed the health department to implement a detailed modernization blueprint. “Recognizing that delayed diagnoses often exacerbate medical conditions,” the statement read, the department will prioritize swift project execution.

A health department spokesperson confirmed that the blueprint was developed in consultation with senior physicians and medical faculty to align upgrades with real-world hospital needs.
