Himachal Pradesh will soon see the establishment of hi-tech testing laboratories across the state, as announced by the State Health Minister, Dhani Ram Shandil, during a recent meeting of the Cabinet subcommittee.
According to the Minister, existing laboratories will also be enhanced to increase their capacity for high-volume testing.
The meeting, which focused on reviewing and strengthening the Rogi Kalyan Samitis (RKS), was attended by Technical Education Minister Rajesh Dharmani and Ayush Minister Yadvinder Goma.
Health Minister Shandil also highlighted the need for improvements in the services offered by the RKS to benefit the public.
Additionally, the sub-committee urged the RKS to concentrate on resource generation and optimal utilization of available resources.
“For this, a complete overhaul of the healthcare system is being done. Adarsh Swasthya Sansthans are being opened at 69 places, which will ensure state-of-the-art treatment to the people of the state in their constituencies,” said the Health Minister.
Moreover, according to the Himachal government, this move aligns with their aim to develop a robust healthcare system in the state, aiming to provide speedy and reliable health services backed by world-class infrastructure in all health institutions.
Other meeting attendees included Health Secretary M Sudha Devi, Mission Director of the National Health Mission Priyanka Verma, Director of Health Services Prakash Chand Dharoch, and Director of Medical Education Rakesh Sharma.
A report summarizing the discussions will be presented for Cabinet approval.
