HealthCare Global Enterprises has launched a new cancer care facility in Bengaluru with an investment of nearly INR 129 crore, expanding its oncology footprint in the city.
The new 132-bed hospital, located in Hebbal, becomes HCG’s third facility in Bengaluru. The company said the center is equipped with advanced MRI-guided radiation technology that integrates high-quality imaging with linear accelerator systems for adaptive cancer treatment.
The facility includes five robotic-assisted operating theatres, 19 chemotherapy daycare beds, 14 premium treatment bays, and a 15-bed intensive care unit. Additional services include endoscopy, mammography, histopathology, and advanced laboratory infrastructure.
HCG founder B S Ajaikumar said cancer treatment is becoming increasingly technology-driven, with a stronger focus on improving long-term disease management.
The launch comes nearly a year after global investment firm KKR acquired an approximately 54% stake in HCG for INR 3,466 crore. Ajaikumar and his family currently hold around 10% stake in the listed hospital chain.
HCG operates approximately 2,500 beds across 25 centers in India and continues to expand its oncology network through infrastructure investments and potential acquisitions.
Last week, reports indicated that HCG is in discussions to acquire the oncology business of Siemens Healthineers-owned American Oncology Institute, as the German medtech company evaluates an exit from that segment.
HCG CEO Manish Mattoo said the Hebbal facility combines multidisciplinary care with advanced treatment technologies to support complex oncology cases.
The expansion comes amid rising demand for specialized cancer care services and increasing adoption of precision oncology technologies across India’s private healthcare sector.
