HCG Aastha Cancer Hospital Inaugurated in Ahmedabad

The hospital is equipped to provide comprehensive cancer care across disciplines, including surgical, medical, and radiation oncology.

The HCG Aastha Cancer Hospital, a newly built cancer treatment facility in Ahmedabad, was inaugurated today by Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel. The hospital expands the region's oncology care capacity, focusing on local and international patients.

Located in Ahmedabad, the hospital has a total capacity of 217 beds, including 23 surgical ICU beds, 10 medical ICU beds, 23 day-care beds, 16 pre- and post-operative beds, and six bone marrow transplant (BMT) units.

According to the information, the facility will enable treatment for 30 to 40 percent more patients than the existing capacity.

The hospital is equipped to provide comprehensive cancer care across disciplines, including surgical, medical, and radiation oncology. Additional services such as nuclear medicine, pediatric hemato-oncology, and advanced diagnostic support are also available at the facility.

The hospital team comprises over 100 doctors, including domestic and multidisciplinary specialists. These professionals will deliver care across the spectrum—from early detection to final-stage treatment—within a unified clinical environment.

In addition, the new unit is expected to serve over 55,000 international patients and around 7,000 local patients each year. The expansion is expected to improve accessibility and reduce waiting times for patients seeking advanced oncology care in Gujarat and beyond.
