Hariva Meditech to Set Up INR 200 Cr Critical Devices Unit at Ujjain Medtech Park
Eight medical device units are also expected to begin operations during the current financial year at the park. Collectively, these units are expected to attract an investment worth INR 254 crore.
Mumbai-based Hariva Meditech has planned to invest INR 200 crore in setting up a manufacturing unit for critical care and medical technology at the Ujjain Medical Devices Park
The proposed initiative will focus on producing a range of advanced medical devices, including continuous blood glucose monitoring systems, vacuum-assisted wound closure systems, consumables, and anaesthesia products.
Additionally, eight medical device units are expected to begin operations at the park during the current financial year.
These facilities will manufacture products such as catheters, syringes, diagnostic kits, implants, and blood collection devices.
Collectively, these units are expected to attract INR 254 crore in investment and generate employment for nearly 2,400 people.
Among the companies setting up operations, CliniSupplies India will produce catheters and related devices, while VRM Molecular and Nuclear Medicines will focus on specialized medical formulations.
As per reports, HC Lifeline plans to manufacture syringes and cannula, and KRM, Healthcare will produce diagnostic kits. Furthermore, other companies, including Microgen Healthcare, will manufacture infection control products, wound care, and orthopaedic implants, while Maple Technologies will focus on women's healthcare devices.
Shreeji Polymers Medical Devices will produce insulin devices and spray pumps, and Bioline India will manufacture blood collection and blood bag products.
Recently, ECDS, a Delhi-based sustainable development technology firm, has committed INR 780 Cr to set up its first MedTech manufacturing unit at Medical Equipment Park in Vikram Udyogpuri, Ujjain in India, with construction scheduled to begin this year and commercial production targeted for April 2027. The facility is expected to position the company within a dedicated MedTech cluster aimed at strengthening domestic medical device production.
Commenting on the new facility, MPIDC executive director Rajesh Rathod said, "Apart from new proposals like Hariva Meditech, several companies that have already been allotted land are in advanced stages of setting up their facilities. A number of these units are expected to go on stream within this financial year, which will translate into actual production and employment on the ground."
