Gurgaon’s First Health ATM Offers 20+ Tests & Live Doctor Consults in 45 Mins
The machine supports Aadhaar and mobile number logins, offers multi-language support, and shares results via WhatsApp, SMS, or email.
A digital health ATM installed at Sector 10 Civil Hospital in Gurgaon is enabling patients to get more than 20 medical tests done, consult a doctor via video, and receive e-prescriptions and reports within 45–50 minutes, free of cost.
The machine supports Aadhaar and mobile number logins, offers multi-language support, and shares results via WhatsApp, SMS, or email. Tests include blood pressure, ECG, sugar, BMI, hemoglobin, CBC, LFT, KFT, HbA1c, lipid profile, and psychological screening.
Principal medical officer Dr Lokveer Singh said, “We have one health ATM in the city and others in Sohna, Rewari and Narnaul. The govt may set up more. These kiosks are getting a lot of attention.”
Reportedly, each machine can serve 6–7 patients daily. Despite the small number, officials say it helps underserved groups.
Rekha Devi, a 52-year-old domestic worker, said, “My blood sugar was acting up and I didn’t have time to wait in long queues. I got tested, talked to a doctor and my report came straight to my phone. It was easy and fast.”
For those unfamiliar with tech, ASHA workers help. “People who never went for check-ups are now using it weekly,” said ASHA worker Sushma. “And they’re coming back for follow-ups because their records are easy to access.”
The kiosk also includes mental health screening through self-guided assessments. “It’s not just about one test,” Sushma added. “It’s about staying connected to your health.”
