Gleneagles BGS Hospital Launches HEAL Health Card to Expand Access to Care

The initiative is designed to support patients, doctors, and healthcare providers by enabling easier access to consultations, diagnostics, and essential medical services.

Gleneagles BGS Hospital, Kengeri, Bengaluru, part of the Fortis Healthcare Network, has launched the HEAL Health Card as part of its broader HEAL Programme aimed at improving access to affordable and coordinated healthcare services.

The initiative is designed to support patients, doctors, and healthcare providers by enabling easier access to consultations, diagnostics, and essential medical services. The hospital said the programme also seeks to strengthen clinical partnerships by bringing together nursing home owners and doctors for improved coordination and care delivery.

Under the HEAL Health Card, patients will receive benefits including discounted consultations, faster access to services, and continued care support. The offering also includes health check-up packages, complimentary second opinions in select specialties, as well as nutritional and mental health consultations.

The programme extends beyond patient services to focus on capacity building within the healthcare ecosystem. Doctors and hospital teams will gain access to structured training modules and super-specialty expertise from Fortis specialists. These include training in basic and advanced life support, infection prevention and control, biomedical waste management, ECG reading, trauma response, and stroke recognition, among others.

Asik Das, Regional Sales and Marketing Head, Fortis Healthcare, said, “Access to quality healthcare should be simple and within reach for everyone. At the same time, doctors and hospital teams need the right support to deliver timely and effective care. With the HEAL Health Card, we aim to address both.”

Ravi Bagali, Chief Operating Officer at Gleneagles BGS Hospital, Bengaluru, said, “There is a need for simpler and more organised ways to access care. With the HEAL Health Card, we have brought different healthcare services together under one programme to make the overall experience easier and more structured.”

The HEAL Programme also emphasizes preventive healthcare through regular health check-ups and ongoing patient engagement, aimed at encouraging early intervention and continuous care.
