GE HealthCare Launches Allia Celeo AI-Powered Imaging System for Interventional Procedures
It combines an extra-wide-bore C-arm gantry, an AI-enabled imaging platform, and automated positioning features to support procedural workflows across different clinical applications.
Global healthtech provider GE HealthCare has launched Allia Celeo, a ceiling-mounted image-guided interventional system designed for use in interventional suites, including those supporting cardiology and interventional radiology procedures.
It combines an extra-wide-bore C-arm gantry, an AI-enabled imaging platform, and automated positioning features to support procedural workflows across different clinical applications.
Allia Celeo features a wide-opening C-arm, an X-ray imaging device that rotates around patients to capture images from different angles.
Its ceiling-mounted design provides additional space for medical staff and equipment, while automated positioning aims to reduce interruptions during procedures.
The system incorporates AI-enabled software intended to adjust imaging settings and balance image quality and radiation exposure across 2D and 3D imaging.
It also includes advanced image-rendering capabilities to support cardiac imaging and clinical assessment.
An on-screen digital twin allows clinicians to preview gantry positioning before making adjustments.
The system also supports positioning controls from multiple locations within the interventional suite, along with automated table and gantry movements for imaging procedures.
It supports GE HealthCare (GEHC) software suites including StentViz and 3DStent for stent visualization, Valve ASSIST 2 for structural heart planning, and the cleared Mac-Lab hemodynamic system with integrated FFR and dPR indexes.
For interventional radiology and oncology, compatible applications include Embo ASSIST AI, Vessel ASSIST and Needle ASSIST, which support embolisation planning, 3D roadmapping and needle guidance.
The platform also supports integration with Vscan Air handheld ultrasound and compatible third-party intravascular imaging and physiology systems and is built with the flexibility to support future solutions.
Further, it is designed to work with GE HealthCare's OnWatch Predict technology, which combines continuous remote monitoring with deep learning-based predictive analytics.
The technology is intended to identify potential equipment issues and support proactive maintenance planning, helping reduce unplanned downtime and disruptions to hospital operations.
As per reports, Allia Celeo is the second system introduced in GE HealthCare's Allia product family in less than a year, following the floor-mounted Allia Moveo, unveiled in 2025 and commercially launched earlier in 2026
Commenting on the latest technology, Jyoti Gera, Chief Executive Officer, CardioVascular and Interventional Solutions (CVIS), Advanced Imaging Solutions (AIS), GE HealthCare. “Allia Celeo extends our Allia platform with a ceiling-mounted system built for that kind of flexibility, giving hospitals more choice in how they configure their interventional suites while supporting our vision for more personalized, precise care.”
