KIMS to Acquire 51% Stake in Kakinada’s Trust Hospital for Up to INR 80 Cr

The acquisition is part of KIMS’ strategic expansion in the East Godavari district and will give the hospital group majority ownership of the 183-bed healthcare facility.

Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences Limited (KIMS) has signed definitive agreements to acquire a 51% equity stake in Sarvottam Health Care Private Limited, which operates Trust Multi Speciality Hospital in Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh, for a consideration of up to INR 80 crore.

The acquisition is part of KIMS’ strategic expansion in the East Godavari district and will give the hospital group majority ownership of the 183-bed healthcare facility. The transaction also formalizes KIMS’ existing operations and management (O&M) relationship with the hospital on an arm’s-length basis.

Trust Multi Speciality Hospital reported a turnover of INR 84.83 crore and a net profit of INR 7.06 crore for FY 2025-26. The facility is among the largest healthcare providers in Kakinada and adds to KIMS’ presence in the regional healthcare market.

The acquisition follows an existing O&M agreement between the two entities, under which KIMS had been involved in managing the hospital. The company also held a call option that provided a route to convert its management role into majority ownership.

With the proposed 51% stake acquisition, KIMS will gain greater ownership and operational control of the Kakinada-based hospital, expanding its hospital network and patient reach in Andhra Pradesh.

KIMS operates multi-specialty hospitals and provides healthcare operations and management services. Its expansion strategy includes increasing its presence in regional healthcare markets through investments in hospital infrastructure and operations.
