GE HealthCare Launches LOGIQ Focus Ultrasound System With AI-Enabled Imaging Tools

The system is designed to support routine and complex ultrasound examinations while improving image quality, consistency and clinical efficiency.

GE HealthCare announced LOGIQ Focus on October 19, 2026, expanding its LOGIQ family of general imaging ultrasound systems with advanced imaging capabilities, AI-enabled tools and workflow automation. The system is designed to support routine and complex ultrasound examinations while improving image quality, consistency and clinical efficiency.

LOGIQ Focus is powered by cSound Architecture and features advanced speckle reduction imaging, multiple general-purpose and specialty probes, and a High Definition Ultrasound (HDU) display. It also includes advanced flow visualization tools to help clinicians assess blood flow and distinguish subtle tissue differences.

According to a third-party study cited by GE HealthCare, 90% of participants rated the system's overall image quality as excellent, while it was 26% faster than the predicate system. The Vscan Air CL wireless probe is also compatible with LOGIQ Focus, providing clinicians with cable-free scanning flexibility.

The system incorporates several digital tools designed to reduce manual tasks and standardize examinations. Its Auto Preset Assistant automatically detects the anatomy being scanned and activates the corresponding preset, potentially saving up to five clicks per examination. GE HealthCare also reported that clinicians can spend up to 25% less time on AI-automated tasks.

Other productivity features include AutoEF, which automatically measures ejection fraction to assess heart function, and Scan Assistant, which guides users through examination protocols.

The system also supports Verisound Collab for virtual collaboration between clinicians, enabling communication across their professional networks.

Liver Assessment and Cybersecurity Features

LOGIQ Focus includes liver assessment tools such as Ultrasound-Guided Fat Fraction for evaluating liver fat burden and 2D shear wave elastography for assessing tissue stiffness changes associated with fibrosis.

The system also incorporates SonoDefense, GE HealthCare's multilayer cybersecurity approach for ultrasound devices. It uses multiple independent security layers designed to protect patient data and help maintain system functionality.

“LOGIQ Focus builds on more than 30 years of LOGIQ innovation to deliver both, combining advanced imaging and clinician-centered AI-enabled tools that care teams rely on every day,” said Karley Yoder, CEO of Ultrasound Solutions at GE HealthCare.

LOGIQ Focus is part of GE HealthCare's broader product innovation efforts, supported by more than $5 billion in innovation investment since 2023. The company expects several new products, including LOGIQ Focus, to contribute 1% to 2% of revenue growth.
