This collaboration will expand Fischer MVL's healthcare portfolio by incorporating advanced technologies into medical imaging and diagnostics.

Fischer Medical Ventures (Fischer MVL) and its wholly-owned subsidiary, Time Medical International Ventures (India), have partnered with BluSim Tech, a health-tech company based in Singapore, to enhance nursing home care globally.

This collaboration will expand Fischer MVL's healthcare portfolio by incorporating advanced technologies into medical imaging and diagnostics.

BluSim Tech's flagship product, BluSim Mat, leverages advanced algorithms and AI for continuous and contactless monitoring of vital signs.

This technology can track heart rate, respiration rate, sleep patterns, bed position, and presence without wearable devices. It converts micro-vibrations into meaningful biomarkers, enabling real-time health monitoring and early detection of potential issues.

Addressing the Growing Need for Elderly Care

According to the World Health Organization, the senior population in emerging nations is expected to reach one billion by 2050. This demographic shift creates a substantial demand for elder care services.

The global long-term elder care market was valued at $1.03 trillion in 2022 and is projected to exceed $1.92 trillion by 2032.

This growing market faces significant challenges due to the aging population, necessitating continuous and non-intrusive health monitoring to manage chronic conditions and age-related health issues.

Sharing insights, Ravindran Govindan, chairman, and MD, Fischer MVL, said, "This strategic partnership marks a new era in healthcare technology, driving innovation and advancing the future of elderly care. We endeavor to deliver unparalleled value to nursing homes across India and beyond. Our company will continue to invest in cutting-edge technologies with unmet needs, and BluSim is one such company."

BluSim Mat provides a completely contactless solution. Additionally, the technology integrates with external sensors to monitor parameters such as blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) and body temperature, further enhancing its capability.

Commenting on the same, Dr Gokul M Chinnappan, CEO of BluSim Tech, said, "Our vision is to enhance healthcare by developing cutting-edge technologies that prioritize patient well-being and improve the quality of care. Through our partnership with Fischer MVL, we have more resources to expand our offerings and make our solutions accessible to more healthcare facilities."

Market Expansion & Future Plans

The collaboration is poised to benefit nursing homes by providing advanced health monitoring solutions that are both efficient and non-intrusive. As the eldercare market continues to expand, the demand for such innovative technologies will likely grow, driving further advancements in healthcare.

Integrating BluSim Tech's innovative solutions is expected to set new standards in patient monitoring and care, addressing the challenges an aging population poses.

Recently, Fischer Medical Ventures announced a global partnership with Singapore-based The Therapy Platform, a technology-driven mental health startup, to enhance mental healthcare.

This collaboration addressed the significant unmet needs in the mental health sector worldwide. Fischer Medical Ventures, operating from Chennai, is a leading manufacturer of cost-effective, high-quality Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) systems in India.
