Even Healthcare Elevates Leadership Across Hospitals, Names Animesh Roy as CEO
Animesh Roy has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Even Hospitals. In this expanded role, he will oversee strategy, growth, and day-to-day operations across all hospital entities.
Bengaluru-based healthcare startup Even Healthcare has announced a series of leadership elevations across its hospital and business verticals.
As part of the transitions, Animesh Roy has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Even Hospitals. In this expanded role, he will oversee strategy, growth, and day-to-day operations across all hospital entities, supporting the company’s efforts to deepen its care delivery footprint.
Dr. Chandrika Kambam has been elevated to Director of Balloon Healthcare, a wholly owned subsidiary of Even Healthcare responsible for hospital operations. The appointment emphasizes clinical leadership within institutional governance and aligns patient care outcomes with organisational strategy.
Moreover, Chandan Kumar has been promoted to Chief Business Officer of Even, where he will lead revenue growth, partnerships, and go-to-market strategy across the company’s offerings.
Commenting on the appointments, Mayank Banerjee, Co-founder, Even Healthcare, said, “Even is what it is today because of the people who built it with us. Animesh, Dr. Chandrika, and Chandan have been at the heart of how we deliver care and central to our journey for years. They helped build Even into what it has become, and they are the right people to lead what comes next. Our growth has always been a reflection of our team's strength. That's exactly how we intend to keep building.”
The leadership transitions coincide with Even Healthcare’s expansion of its integrated care model across health benefits, hospitals, and clinical services.
In January, the startup secured $20 million in new funding to expand its managed-care hospital network and deepen its integrated care model. The funding round was led by existing investors Lachy Groom and Alpha Wave Global, with participation from Sharrp Ventures. The fresh capital brings Even Healthcare’s total funding to approximately $70 million.
Founded in 2020 by Giglio, Mayank Banerjee, and Alessandro Ialongo, Even Healthcare integrates insurance, clinics, diagnostics, and now hospitalization under a single membership. It currently operates six clinics in Bengaluru.
Inspired by the Kaiser Permanente model in the US, Even’s approach blends preventive care, consultations, and hospital services with a focus on patient outcomes and affordability.
