While its key focus area was behavioral health, the platform is now being redesigned to support professionals across all medical specialties navigating virtual care.
Doxy.me, a US-based telehealth platform, has acquired Telehealth.org.
The telehealth platform has further decided to relaunch it in order to transform Telehealth.org into a comprehensive destination for telehealth education, compliance, training, and industry insights.
Founded in 1997 by Dr Marlene Maheu, Telehealth.org has been a leading source of expert-led education, telebehavioral health consulting.
While its key focus area was behavioral health, the platform is now being redesigned to support professionals across all medical specialties navigating virtual care.
With Doxy.me at the helm, Telehealth.org aims to serve a broad spectrum of the healthcare system, including individual clinicians, specialty providers, and enterprise health systems.
"It's about patients, clinicians, workflows, finances, laws, and regulations. You need the full picture. Telehealth.org will help healthcare organizations bring all the pieces together," said Brandon M Welch, MS, PhD, founder and CEO of Doxy.me and co-author of Telehealth Success.
The new services introduced on Telehealth.org include telehealth training and CME courses offering on-demand certification and instructional modules; a job board connecting professionals with virtual care roles; and a compliance hub providing subscription-based tools for HIPAA and regulatory guidance, among others. Additionally, the platform will be regularly updated with new tools and content to help organizations and clinicians optimize their telehealth operations.
Doxy.me is a browser-based telehealth platform facilitating remote healthcare consultations. The platform does not require software downloads or patient logins to streamline virtual care delivery.
