AI-powered virtual care startup Doctronic has partnered with Simple HealthKit to integrate at-home diagnostic testing with AI-assisted clinical evaluations and virtual physician consultations, creating a connected care pathway for patients across the U.S.

Under the partnership, consumers using Simple HealthKit's at-home screening kits will be directed to Doctronic after receiving their test results. The AI platform will analyze the laboratory findings before guiding patients through a medical evaluation, after which licensed physicians will provide virtual follow-up care when required.

Simple HealthKit offers at-home testing for conditions including diabetes, chronic kidney disease, colorectal cancer, cervical cancer, sexually transmitted infections, and respiratory health. Users collect blood, urine, or saliva samples at home and mail them to certified laboratories for analysis. The company distributes its kits through direct-to-consumer channels, retail partners, health plans, healthcare providers, and public health programs.

According to the companies, the collaboration initially focuses on health conditions where existing national health plan and retail partnerships can deliver the fastest impact, with plans to expand across additional screening programs over time.

Doctronic currently provides a free AI-powered chatbot that helps users assess symptoms, answer health-related questions, and connect with licensed physicians through virtual consultations. The platform is available across all 50 U.S. states and is also participating in a Utah pilot program evaluating AI-assisted prescription renewals.

The companies also plan to expand the integration in the coming months by allowing Doctronic to identify patients at risk and refer them directly to Simple HealthKit for at-home screening before clinical evaluation.

To evaluate the AI system's performance, every patient completing an AI consultation will also be reviewed by a licensed physician. The companies will compare the AI's recommendations with physician assessments to measure diagnostic accuracy and determine appropriate next steps.

The partnership comes as demand for AI-assisted clinical navigation and remote diagnostics continues to grow. Doctronic reports serving more than 300,000 unique users each week, while Simple HealthKit continues expanding partnerships with health plans, government agencies, health systems, pharmaceutical companies, and retailers, including collaborations with Amazon and Walmart.
