The Begusarai facility has been developed in CureBay's SwasthGram format, offering doctor consultations, diagnostics, and a full pharmacy under one roof.

Bhubaneswar-based healthcare startup CureBay has expanded its presence to Bihar with the launch of its first clinic in the state. The new facility, located in Begusarai, marks the company's entry into its fourth state after Odisha, Chhattisgarh, and Jharkhand.

The clinic was inaugurated by Union Minister Giriraj Singh. MLAs Abhishek Anand and Kundan Kumar were also present at the inauguration.

Announcing the development on LinkedIn, CureBay Founder and CEO Priyadarshi Mohapatra said the expansion reflects the need to improve access to healthcare in rural India.

"Their presence reaffirms a shared conviction: quality healthcare close to home is one of rural India's most urgent needs," he wrote.

According to Mohapatra, the Begusarai facility has been developed in CureBay's SwasthGram format, offering doctor consultations, diagnostics, and a full pharmacy under one roof.

"The Begusarai clinic is built in our SwasthGram format doctor consultations, diagnostics, and a full pharmacy under one roof. For lakhs of families, quality healthcare is now minutes away, not hours," he said.

Mohapatra added that CureBay aims to complement the public healthcare ecosystem by addressing gaps in access to healthcare services.

"India's public health system has achieved what few nations have. CureBay exists to extend that reach, not duplicate it. We go where the gaps are: assisted telemedicine where specialists are scarce, diagnostics where labs are distant, and genuine medicines where supply chains thin out," he wrote.

He also highlighted the company's health membership programme, CureBay Kavach, stating that it focuses on preventive healthcare through regular screenings, early detection, and continuous care.

Commenting on the company's community healthcare model, Mohapatra said CureBay's Swasthya Mitras are recruited and trained from the villages they serve, drawing parallels with Bihar's JEEViKA programme.

"As an ABDM certified platform (M1, M2, M3) working on the National Health Authority's digital health rails, every CureBay clinic adds capacity, data, and last mile reach to the nation's health infrastructure in service of the same goal: a healthier India for all," he added.

The Bihar expansion comes a few months after CureBay raised $21 million in a funding round led by Bertelsmann India. At the time, the startup had said it would use the fresh capital to expand into Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, and Madhya Pradesh. Bihar is the latest state added to its network following the fundraise.

CureBay is a Bhubaneswar based healthcare startup focused on improving access to primary healthcare in underserved markets. The company operates a hybrid healthcare and fulfilment model that digitally connects patients with healthcare providers through a three tier network comprising hubs, spokes, and satellite health centres.
