Butterfly Learnings Raises INR 65 Cr to Scale Tech-enabled Paediatric Behavioral Health Screening

Butterfly Learnings plans to increase its availability through hospitals and paediatricians, alongside investing in AI and other technology capabilities.

Maharashtra-based Butterfly Learnings, a digital health startup, has raised INR 65 Cr in a Pre-Series B funding round led by Inflexor Ventures, giving the paediatric behavioural health platform fresh capital to expand its centre network, develop AI-led capabilities and scale technology-enabled autism screening.

Founded by Dr Sonam Kothari and Dr Abhishek Sen, Butterfly Learnings operates in a segment focused on children requiring support for autism, ADHD and learning disabilities.

Its model combines clinical therapy, diagnostics, inclusive education, digital therapeutics, and technology-enabled interventions, bringing multiple elements of behavioural healthcare into a single care ecosystem.

The startup currently has 90 centres across 22 cities in India. It also operates a therapist training institute aimed at developing professionals in behavioural healthcare.

The latest INR 65 Cr investment is expected to help Butterfly Learnings expand its physical presence beyond Maharashtra while building the technology infrastructure needed to support a larger network.

Existing investors Enzia Ventures, Insitor Impact Asia Fund and IIMA Ventures have also participated in the round.

A major focus of the expansion will be Get SET Early, Butterfly Learnings’ eye-tracking-based autism screening solution. The startup holds an exclusive global licence for the technology, which has received approval from the CDSCO and can be used to screen children from one year of age.

Rather than limiting the screening technology to its own centres, Butterfly Learnings plans to increase its availability through hospitals and paediatricians.

This approach could help bring screening closer to routine child healthcare settings and potentially support earlier identification of developmental concerns.

Butterfly Learnings will also invest in AI and other technology capabilities as it scales its operations.

Alongside this, it plans to expand its therapist training programme to strengthen the professional workforce supporting behavioural healthcare delivery.
