Boeing India Boosts Imaging Capacity at AIIMS Rishikesh with Advanced Diagnostic Systems
The newly installed systems, compliant with regulatory standards set by the Atomic Energy Regulatory Board, are expected to improve diagnostic turnaround times and support more informed clinical decision-making.
Boeing India has recently enabled enhanced imaging capabilities at AIIMS Rishikesh by supporting the installation of an ultrasound system and a digital X-ray unit, helping expand access to faster and more accurate diagnostics for patients in the region.
This initiative is part of Boeing India’s broader corporate social responsibility efforts focused on strengthening healthcare infrastructure in underserved and high-demand regions. Access to timely diagnostics remains a critical challenge in many parts of India, particularly in hilly states like Uttarakhand, where geography and resource limitations often delay diagnosis and treatment.
Institutions like AIIMS Rishikesh serve as key referral centres for large populations across northern India, making investments in imaging infrastructure particularly impactful.
The newly installed systems, compliant with regulatory standards set by the Atomic Energy Regulatory Board, are expected to improve diagnostic turnaround times and support more informed clinical decision-making.
With an estimated annual reach of over 15,000 beneficiaries, the equipment is positioned to reduce bottlenecks in imaging services and improve patient flow within the hospital.
“High-quality diagnostics support better health outcomes for communities, and we are pleased to be able to make this small contribution in a place where it will make a large difference,” said Salil Gupte, President, Boeing India and South Asia.
The equipment was formally inaugurated by Salil Gupte alongside Dr Meenu Singh, Executive Director and CEO of AIIMS Rishikesh, in the presence of senior institutional leadership and representatives from Doctors For You.
“By expanding our diagnostic capabilities with state-of-the-art imaging, we aim to significantly reduce diagnostic delays, strengthen clinical decision making, and improve outcomes for patients in the state and adjoining areas,” said Dr Meenu Singh.
“By adding specialised resources to AIIMS’ expertise, we are strengthening local healthcare, bringing advanced diagnostics to the frontlines, accelerating and improving healthcare outcomes for communities,” added Dr Rajat Jain, President of Doctors For You.
Since 2020, Boeing India and Doctors For You have worked together to deploy critical healthcare infrastructure across 14 states, including CT scan installations, oxygen generation plants, and ambulance services.
