Bhandara Police Launch AI App to Track Personnel Health

Developed as part of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis's 100-day program to enhance police efficiency, the app is particularly beneficial for officers stationed in remote areas of the district.
Maharashtra’s Bhandara Police have introduced an AI-enabled health application named 'Arogya' to monitor the well-being of their personnel.
This app is designed to alert senior officials if any officer is at health risk and provides telemedicine services.
Developed as part of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis's 100-day program to enhance police efficiency, the app is particularly beneficial for officers stationed in remote areas of the district.
Superintendent of Police Noorul Hasan stated that a rise in on-duty deaths among constables and senior officials prompted the initiative.
"Arogya App will help us monitor the health of the constables, especially those who are posted in far-off stations," he said.
The application allows officers to consult doctors from various specialties through telemedicine. An MoU has been signed with a private hospital to provide a panel of doctors, whose consultations and prescriptions will be digitally recorded in each officer's profile.
Additionally, the app offers access to 27 medical tests, with results integrated into the digital health records. If any health parameter raises concerns, an alert is sent to the unit in charge.
Exercise plans and physical activity recommendations tailored for each officer are also updated within the app.
Hasan emphasized that maintaining digital health records will assist in strategic deployment decisions. "If there is a tough bandobast, we will try to avoid putting a co-morbid cop on the job as far as possible," he added.
He also mentioned that the Bhandara police are implementing additional measures under IG Dilip Bhujbal-Patil.
