Aster DM Healthcare has announced the development of a new 430-bed multispecialty hospital in Sarjapur, Bengaluru, with an investment of INR 480 crore.
This will be the healthcare provider’s fourth facility in the city, and it is expected to significantly strengthen its regional presence.
The new hospital will be built across 400,000 square feet and developed in phases. The first phase, comprising 300 beds, will become operational in the second half of FY27. The remaining 130 beds will be added in FY29.
With this expansion, Aster’s total bed capacity in Bengaluru will exceed 2,000, positioning the group among the top three healthcare providers in the region.
Dr Azad Moopen, Founder and Chairman of Aster DM Healthcare, stated, “This state-of-the-art facility is being designed to deliver world-class, patient-centric care. It will cater to the rapidly growing healthcare needs of the region, with a strong focus on oncology from inception.”
The Sarjapur area, a growing IT corridor, has seen extensive infrastructure development, including the Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board’s proposed 1,050-acre IT hub and a Metro line under Phase 3. The hospital’s location benefits from its proximity to Whitefield, Outer Ring Road, and Marathahalli, enhancing accessibility and appeal.
This strategic expansion reinforces Aster DM Healthcare’s focus on the southern market. The company currently operates 19 hospitals, 13 clinics, 203 pharmacies, and 254 diagnostic labs across five Indian states.
