ANHVL Targets 2,500 Beds With INR 2,200 Cr Eastern India Expansion

The healthcare arm of the Ambuja Neotia Group currently operates four healthcare facilities with a combined capacity of 700 beds and has six additional projects under development, Managing Director Parthiv Neotia said on Friday.

Ambuja Neotia Healthcare Venture Ltd (ANHVL) plans to invest around INR 2,200 crore over the next four to five years to expand its healthcare network across eastern India and add nearly 1,800 beds, taking its total capacity to 2,500 beds.

The healthcare arm of the Ambuja Neotia Group currently operates four healthcare facilities with a combined capacity of 700 beds and has six additional projects under development, Managing Director Parthiv Neotia said on Friday.

As part of the expansion, ANHVL has earmarked around INR 150 crore to develop a 120-bed women and child care facility in Howrah under its Neotia Bhagirathi Woman and Child Care Centre network. The facility is expected to become operational by April 2029.

“Our existing four healthcare facilities have 700 beds, and we identified Howrah as a key growth corridor with a growing need for specialised women and child healthcare services,” Neotia said.

The Howrah facility will provide maternal, neonatal and pediatric care, with the company targeting increased access to specialized healthcare services in the region.

ANHVL is also adopting an asset-light model for several upcoming projects to improve capital efficiency. Projects in Raipur, Guwahati and Durgapur are among those being developed under this approach.

In Durgapur, ANHVL has partnered with Amit Metaliks to develop a women and child care hospital. Amit Metaliks will provide the land and infrastructure, while ANHVL will manage the hospital's operations.

The company's specialized women and child care center in Raipur is scheduled to launch by the end of 2026, Neotia said.

The broader development pipeline includes a multispecialty hospital in Guwahati, a multispecialty facility in Taratala and another in New Town, Kolkata. The pipeline also includes women and child care centers in Howrah, Durgapur and Raipur.

ANHVL has also firmed up two additional projects, although the company has not yet disclosed further details or timelines for those developments.
