Akash Healthcare Announces Plan for 2,000-bed Expansion Across North India

The latest facilities are planned across Delhi, Gurugram, Mathura, and Dehradun.

Delhi-based Aakash Healthcare Super Specialty Hospital has announced plans to expand to 2,000 beds, aimed at strengthening its presence across North India.

The expansion will focus on super-specialty and tertiary care, with particular emphasis on orthopaedics and knee replacement, while advancing its footprint in medical value tourism.

Commenting on the latest development, Dr. Aashish Chaudhry, Managing Director, Aakash Healthcare, said, "People are not just choosing Aakash Healthcare because it is more affordable than what they would find back home. Expansion Roadmap

As part of the expansion plan, the hospital seeks to increase its current bed capacity of 400 beds to 2,000 by the end of next year.

The latest facilities are planned across Delhi, Gurugram, Mathura, and Dehradun.

Additionally, the expansion is expected to be supported through partnerships with regional healthcare providers, enabling the hospital to establish a wider network across North India.

The initiative is intended to bring super-speciality and tertiary-care services closer to patients outside major metropolitan centres while reducing the need for people in Tier-2 cities and smaller towns to travel long distances for specialised treatment.

The latest announcement comes as the speciality healthcare organisation has completed nine years of operations

According to the hospital, over the past nine years, it has treated more than 50 lakh patients, performed 98,800 surgeries, and facilitated 10,000 deliveries.

The hospital has also developed capabilities in robotic knee replacement and robotic surgery, alongside a broad portfolio of super-speciality and tertiary-care services.

Beyond patient care, Aakash Healthcare has built a presence in clinical research. The institution has completed more than 25 clinical trials and currently has 23 Indian and international trials underway.

Aakash Healthcare has also undertaken collaborations to strengthen specialised treatment services.

Last year, the healthcare organisation, in collaboration with Medtronic, inaugurated the Aakash Vein Clinic, a specialised centre dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of vein-related conditions.

The facility aims to provide advanced, minimally invasive procedures to enhance patient outcomes and recovery.
