Ambuja Neotia to Develop 300-Bed Hospital in Guwahati as Part of INR 700 Cr Project

The facility is being developed by Ambuja Neotia Healthcare Venture Limited, with an estimated investment of INR 360–400 crore.

Ambuja Neotia Group has announced plans to develop a 300-bed multi-speciality hospital in Guwahati as part of a larger INR 700 crore integrated healthcare and hospitality project, following approval from the Assam government.

The hospital will be built on a 1.46-acre portion of a 2.88-acre mixed-use land parcel at Fancy Bazar, Old Jail Road. The facility is being developed by Ambuja Neotia Healthcare Venture Limited, with an estimated investment of INR 360–400 crore.

The hospital will offer advanced medical services across cardiology, neurology, orthopaedics, oncology, and critical care. It is projected to create 1,500–2,000 direct jobs, along with additional indirect employment through allied healthcare services and local businesses.

The remaining 1.42 acres of the land will house a premium 4+ star hotel with 200–250 keys, developed by Ambuja Neotia Hotel Venture Limited, which will support patient and visitor accommodation and include dining and meeting facilities.

This will be the group’s second healthcare initiative in Assam, following the launch of the Neotia Bhagirathi Woman and Childcare Centre in Guwahati in 2025.

Parthiv Neotia, Joint Managing Director of Ambuja Neotia Group, said Guwahati is strategically important as a gateway to the North-East. “This hospital aims to enhance medical access in the region while supporting healthcare infrastructure and employment opportunities,” he added.
