Amazon Expands Digital Health Tech Program With Nutrition AI and Sleep Care Partnerships

The latest additions include AI-powered nutrition therapy platform Berry Street and virtual sleep clinic Dreem Health.

Amazon has expanded its Health Conditions Program by adding two new digital health partnerships focused on nutrition therapy and sleep care, strengthening its Health Benefits Connector initiative launched in January 2024.

The latest additions include AI-powered nutrition therapy platform Berry Street and virtual sleep clinic Dreem Health. The program is designed to help eligible customers access health services that may already be covered by their insurance providers or employers.

Dreem Health will become the first sleep-focused provider on Amazon’s platform. Eligible users can enroll in its sleep care services, which include diagnostics supported by Sunrise Group’s FDA-approved home sleep test.

Amazon Health Services' head of strategic growth and network development John Singerling, said the program is intended to simplify access to care by connecting customers with existing health benefits. He added that partnerships like Dreem Health aim to improve awareness and access to structured health support services.

Berry Street, which joined the program on March 31, operates a network of more than 1,500 registered dietitians offering nutrition therapy for conditions such as obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and maternal health.

Through the partnership, eligible users can access virtual consultations with dietitians at no out-of-pocket cost in many cases. The platform also enables AI-based meal tracking through photo recognition and integrates data from labs and wearable devices. Berry Street plans to expand its services to include prescriptions and lab testing support in the future.

Amazon’s Health Benefits Connector program also includes existing partnerships with providers such as Teladoc, Rula Health, Talkspace, Omada Health, and Hinge Health, covering a range of virtual care services across mental health, chronic disease management, and physical therapy.

The expansion comes as Amazon continues to scale its healthcare offerings, including broader access to virtual care services for Prime members and additional AI-driven health tools on its platform.
