AIG Hospitals Collaborates with Johnson & Johnson to Deploy Polyphonic Surgery System

The initiative is aimed at advancing secure surgical video review, team collaboration, training, and knowledge-sharing across specialties

Hyderabad-based AIG Hospitals has announced a partnership with Johnson & Johnson to implement the Polyphonic Surgery system, a connected surgical digital ecosystem designed to support surgical workflows, collaboration, and clinical learning.

According to the hospital, the collaboration aligns with AIG Hospitals’ broader vision of integrating clinical excellence with academics, research, digital innovation, and AI-enabled healthcare solutions.

The programme is aimed at advancing secure surgical video review, team collaboration, training, and knowledge-sharing across specialties.

The Connected Surgical Ecosystem

The Polyphonic Surgery system is designed to bring surgical video review, collaboration, and learning resources into a centralised digital environment.

It is intended to enable surgeons and operating room teams to revisit procedures, review cases, and facilitate structured discussions for training and knowledge-sharing following the surgery.

Additionally, it seeks to enhance collaboration among surgeons, operating room teams, and residents by providing access to surgical content and learning resources within a connected workflow.

The programme includes hands-on use and ongoing collaboration with surgeons, operating room teams, residents, information technology professionals, and hospital leadership to evaluate the technology’s usability and integration into existing clinical workflow.

The feedback generated through the programme is expected to provide insights into how connected digital technologies can be applied across various specialities and hospital systems.

In addition, the evaluation is also expected to support and improve the clinical quality and effectiveness of digital surgical platforms.
