HURL, MVS India Sign MoU to Deploy 15 Health ATMs Under AAROGYA MITRA 2.0
Under AAROGYA MITRA 2.0, 10 Health ATM machines will be installed in Sindri, Jharkhand, while five will be deployed in Barauni, Bihar.
Hindustan Urvarak & Rasayan Limited (HURL) has signed an MoU with Manav Vikas Sanstha (MVS India), a Jaipur-based NGO, to launch the AAROGYA MITRA 2.0 Healthcare Initiative, expanding access to technology-enabled diagnostic services in underserved communities across Jharkhand and Bihar.
The project will deploy 15 Health ATM machines at government healthcare facilities, with the initiative expected to benefit more than 80,000 people annually.
HURL had previously partnered with MVS India to implement Project AAROGYA MITRA as part of its CSR efforts to improve rural healthcare access.
The earlier initiative included plans for AI-enabled Health ATMs across selected healthcare facilities in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, Sindri in Jharkhand, and Barauni in Bihar, with services provided free of cost.
The second phase will focus on expanding technology-enabled diagnostic access in Sindri and Barauni.
Under AAROGYA MITRA 2.0, 10 Health ATM machines will be installed in Sindri, Jharkhand, while five will be deployed in Barauni, Bihar.
The machines will provide access to more than 50 diagnostic tests, alongside free point-of-care services for the specified offerings.
By placing these facilities within government healthcare institutions, the project aims to make basic diagnostic services more accessible to rural and semi-urban populations.
The AAROGYA MITRA 2.0 Healthcare Initiative will also incorporate digital health records to support the documentation and management of patient information.
Healthcare staff training is another component of the programme, intended to help personnel operate the technology and facilitate the delivery of diagnostic services.
The initiative is designed to support early identification of potential health conditions and timely medical intervention.
Through its partnership with MVS India, HURL aims to combine digital diagnostic infrastructure with frontline healthcare capacity building.
HURL is an Indian fertiliser company established to strengthen domestic fertiliser production. Through its CSR programmes, the company has also undertaken community development initiatives spanning healthcare and education, including its earlier AAROGYA MITRA healthcare project and Project PRAYAS, which focuses on modernising government school infrastructure.
