Amneal Pharmaceuticals has inaugurated its new administrative office in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, with an investment of approximately Rs 135 crore ($15 million). The facility spans 3.35 lakh square feet and will accommodate around 1,200 employees, supporting the company's teams in India and collaboration across its global operations.
Located on Cliantha Road, the office is designed to bring key teams together, strengthen collaboration, and provide infrastructure for Amneal's operations in India.
The company has expanded its capabilities in India across manufacturing, research and development, quality and commercial operations, including its commercial office in Mumbai. These operations form part of its global network spanning the United States, India and Ireland.
In August, Amneal acquired Kashiv BioSciences, expanding its global biosimilar development and manufacturing capabilities.
“This new Ahmedabad office reflects Amneal’s continued investment in the people and capabilities that support its global business. India is an important part of our network, complementing our significant and growing U.S. manufacturing footprint,” said Chirag Patel, co-founder and co-chief executive officer of Amneal.
He added that the company is investing in scientific expertise, manufacturing and infrastructure to support growth and expand access to high-quality, affordable medicines.
Chintu Patel, co-founder and co-chief executive officer of Amneal, said the new office would bring key teams together and support their continued development.
“By connecting our people and expertise across our global network, we can strengthen execution, advance increasingly complex medicines and better serve patients,” he said.
Amneal is also advancing plans for two greenfield manufacturing facilities in Gujarat, focused on peptide synthesis and sterile fill-finish manufacturing. The projects are part of the company's investment in capabilities to support its future product portfolio.
