Zydus Multispecialty & Cancer Hospital Acquires VINS Hospital in Vadodara
The acquisition is intended to enhance access to advanced neurological diagnosis, treatment, and surgical care closer to home.
Zydus Multispecialty and Cancer Hospital, Vadodara, has acquired the 50-bed Vadodara Institute of Neurological Sciences (VINS) Hospital, expanding its network of hospitals and adding a dedicated neurology and neurosurgery centre.
The 300-bed Zydus facility now integrates specialized neurocare services for patients across the region.
The acquisition is intended to enhance access to advanced neurological diagnosis, treatment, and surgical care closer to home. The combined hospitals will manage conditions including brain and spinal tumours, aneurysms, movement disorders, stroke, trauma, deep brain stimulation, and epilepsy surgery.
“Zydus Multi-specialty and Cancer Hospital has rapidly become a trusted centre for advanced medical care in Vadodara,” said Pankaj Patel, Chairman of Zydus Hospitals. “With the integration of VINS Hospital, we are significantly strengthening our neuro-specialty capabilities, bringing together leading clinical expertise, advanced technology, and comprehensive services under one unified system.”
VINS Hospital, founded two decades ago by Dr. Monish Malhotra, has been a prominent provider of neurological services in Vadodara. As part of the integration, doctors, including Dr. Suresh Nayak, Dr. Rakesh Shah, and Dr. Mihir Achary, will join Zydus Hospitals, collaborating with Dr. Chaturbhuj Rathore and Dr. Bhagwati Salgotra. The combined team represents extensive clinical and surgical experience in neurological care.
Zydus Hospitals stated that the acquisition strengthens its neuroscience portfolio, supporting patient care across a wide range of neurological conditions. The addition of a dedicated neurocentre is expected to improve service delivery and consolidate specialized expertise under the Zydus brand.
