YEIDA Medical Device Park Set to Emerge as North India’s Major MedTech Manufacturing Hub
The park has already begun attracting interest from companies operating across multiple MedTech segments, including radiology and imaging, implants, in-vitro diagnostics, anaesthesia and respiratory devices, cardiology, and cancer care technologies.
The 350-acre YEIDA Medical Device Park near Noida International Airport is taking shape as a comprehensive MedTech manufacturing ecosystem, with 120 industrial plots allotted, over 20 companies under construction, and facilities ranging from AI laboratories to rapid prototyping aimed at accelerating medical device innovation.
Speaking at the recent MedTech Investors' Meet, YEIDA Additional Chief Executive Officer Shailendra Bhatia said the Medical Device Park will serve as a major manufacturing hub for North India.
Located just three kilometres from Noida International Airport, the Medical Device Park is expected to provide seamless access to domestic and international markets, improving logistics and export opportunities for manufacturers.
According to the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA), the Medical Device Park has been designed to provide an integrated ecosystem with common scientific and industrial infrastructure.
These facilities include rapid prototyping services, artificial intelligence laboratories, and a common warehouse, allowing companies to access shared resources instead of developing them independently.
The model is expected to lower production costs while accelerating product development and commercialization.
The authority also highlighted that leading academic and institutional partners, including IIT Delhi, IIT Kanpur, Invest UP, and the Export Promotion Council, are supporting the project through research collaboration, innovation, and capacity-building initiatives.
Manufacturing units established within the Medical Device Park will also be eligible for multiple government incentives.
These include capital interest subsidies, exemptions on stamp duty, assistance for skill development, support for quality certification, and marketing incentives designed to encourage investment and enhance competitiveness.
The park has already begun attracting interest from companies operating across multiple MedTech segments, including radiology and imaging, implants, in-vitro diagnostics, anaesthesia and respiratory devices, cardiology, and cancer care technologies.
The latest progress follows a series of initiatives undertaken by YEIDA to position the Medical Device Park as a global investment destination.
Earlier this year, the authority signed an MoU with Medical Excellence Japan (MEJ) to strengthen research and development, facilitate technology transfer, and attract Japanese investment into the project.
During his visit to Japan, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also promoted the Medical Device Park to leading Japanese companies, encouraging international investment in medical device manufacturing.
