The facility will focus on enhancing surgical skills across multiple specialties, including urology, gynaecology, and general surgery.
Yashoda Medicity, Indirapuram, Ghaziabad, has partnered with Intuitive to establish India’s first dual-bay robotic-assisted surgery (RAS) training center.
The facility will focus on enhancing surgical skills across multiple specialties, including urology, gynaecology, and general surgery.
The training centre was officially inaugurated by Harsh Malhotra, Union Minister of State in the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Road Transport and Highways, in the presence of Sunil Sharma, Minister for IT and Electronics, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
Dr. P.N. Arora, Chairman and Managing Director of Yashoda Group of Hospitals, stated, “Being among the first few hospitals in the country to establish a dual-bay robotic-assisted surgery training centre reflects our dedication to bringing global best practices to Indian healthcare. This centre will be key in training skilled surgeons and advancing surgical standards. We remain committed to building centres of excellence that drive progress and improve the future of patient care.”
With its dual-bay configuration, the facility is designed to expand training capacity by enabling parallel sessions and advanced collaborative learning. This setup allows more healthcare professionals to be trained efficiently while maintaining consistency and quality in skill development.
Through this initiative, Yashoda Medicity and Intuitive aim to increase the adoption of robotic-assisted surgeries across India by providing immersive, hands-on training in standardised procedures.
