WellSky Launches AI-Powered Ambient Documentation to Enhance Personal Care Workflow
US-based healthtech company WellSky has launched an AI-powered ambient documentation solution for personal care, developed in collaboration with AutoMynd.
The solution is designed to automate documentation processes and improve operational efficiency for caregivers and healthcare providers.
Personal care agencies have traditionally relied on manual, time-intensive assessment processes during client onboarding.
These approaches often result in incomplete client profiles and clinical data while significantly contributing to the administrative burden on staff.
The newly introduced ambient documentation capabilities aim to address these challenges by supporting care coordinators and administrators during onboarding conversations, assessments, and care plan development.
Commenting on the new technology, Tim Ashe, chief clinical officer and general manager at WellSky, said, "With AI capabilities embedded within the existing workflows, WellSky is helping care teams capture critical information more naturally, reducing administrative burden and allowing caregivers to focus on delivering better outcomes for clients."
The solution integrates AutoMynd’s ambient AI technology directly within the WellSky Personal Care platform, enabling seamless workflow automation.
The ambient AI technology captures and processes caregiver–patient interactions in real time, converting them into structured clinical documentation.
This approach is expected to reduce manual data entry, allowing caregivers to focus more on patient care rather than administrative tasks.
The AI tool is designed to listen and categorise information regarding Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs) during onboarding session.
It further captures subtle client preferences and care coordinator observations that are often lost in standard forms.
This information automatically populates in the care plan documentation within the WellSky Personal Care solution while enabling clinicians to further review and verify the assessments before submission.
The system maintains a “human-in-the-loop” standard, which is expected to enhance clinical accuracy and oversight.
Sharing his thoughts on the new development, Rohit Shetty, founder and CEO at AutoMynd, said, “By deeply integrating with WellSky care planning workflows, we help reduce administrative burden and keep the focus on patient engagement. The result is a more consistent foundation for assessments, care plans, and the decisions that follow.”
