Vinod P Chanrai Appointed Chairman of Jaslok Hospital

Kanta Masand, who served as Chairperson, will now take on the honorary title of Chairperson Emeritus.

Jaslok Hospital and Research Centre, Mumbai, has announced a key leadership change. Vinod P Chanrai, a long-serving Trustee and key contributor to the hospital’s governance and digital strategy, has been appointed as the new chairman. Kanta Masand, who served as Chairperson, will now take on the honorary title of Chairperson Emeritus.

Chanrai’s background in technology and governance has contributed to Jaslok’s IT advancement, corporate governance, and academic initiatives. As Chairman, his focus will include digital transformation and the integration of AI in healthcare delivery.

"Assuming the role of Chairman at Jaslok Hospital is both an honour and a responsibility. Guided by the enduring values championed by Mrs. Masand, I look forward to steering Jaslok into a future defined by resilience, compassion, and cutting-edge healthcare. This includes embracing innovation, expanding our academic mission, and exploring the integration of AI to deliver meaningful improvements in patient care," said Chanrai.

Kanta Masand to continue as Chairperson Emeritus

Masand’s tenure saw strong clinical care, infrastructure, and social responsibility developments. Noteworthy achievements include establishing the Jaslok Annex during the COVID-19 pandemic and leading the private sector in vaccine delivery in Mumbai under CSR. Her social impact extended to supporting the Bal Asha orphanage.
