Uttar Pradesh Unveils Medical Device Park Scheme in Greater Noida

Through this scheme, companies operating in the medical device sector will be encouraged to set up manufacturing units in the area.
The Uttar Pradesh government has launched a new initiative to promote medical device production in Greater Noida.
Aimed to bolster the healthcare manufacturing ecosystem, the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has introduced the scheme for allotting 21 industrial plots in Sector-28, specifically targeted at medical device manufacturers.
The proposed Medical Device Park is expected to become the largest facility of its kind in India. Through this scheme, companies operating in the medical device sector will be encouraged to set up manufacturing units in the area, a development that state officials say will spur economic activity in both Greater Noida and the wider Uttar Pradesh region.
According to an official spokesperson, the scheme is particularly focused on high-growth medical sectors, including cancer diagnostics and care, radiology, imaging technologies, in-vitro diagnostics (IVD), medical implants, electronic health devices, cardio-respiratory systems, and renal care equipment such as catheters and related devices.
Out of the 21 available plots, 16 measure 1,000 sq meters, while the remaining five measure 2,100 sq meters. The total premium for the smaller 1,000 sq meter plots is INR 77.30 lakh, with a required registration amount of INR 7.73 lakh. For the larger 2,100 sq meter plots, the premium is INR 1.62 Cr, and the registration amount is INR 16.23 lakh.
The last date for submission of applications is set for July 7.
Prospective applicants can find more details and submit their applications through the official websites of YEIDA and the Nivesh Mitra portal.
Strategically located in Sector-28 of Greater Noida, the plots offer excellent connectivity via the Yamuna Expressway.
Further, the location is near several significant infrastructure developments, including the Noida International Airport in Jewar, the upcoming International Film City, the F1 MotoGP racetrack, the Electronics Manufacturing Cluster, the MSME Hub, and parks.
Additionally, the region is poised to benefit from enhanced connectivity with the Eastern Peripheral Expressway, which will further improve logistics, freight handling, and industrial operations.
State authorities believe this policy intervention will attract substantial private investment, generate employment, and make Uttar Pradesh a significant force in India’s rapidly growing medical technology and manufacturing landscape.
