The Uttar Pradesh government has accelerated the development of its pharma manufacturing ecosystem by expanding the Lalitpur Pharma Park and advancing new medical device and formulation parks near the Noida International Airport.
Reportedly, the State is utilising land in Lalitpur alongside Noida to accommodate bulk drug manufacturing units in the red and orange categories through UPSIDA’s Lalitpur Pharma Park.
The move aims to strengthen Uttar Pradesh’s position as a business-friendly and investment-ready destination for pharmaceutical manufacturing and healthcare innovation.
According to officials, Phase I of the Lalitpur Pharma Park spans 352.91 acres and is dedicated to formulation units, bulk drugs, and common infrastructure. Phase II, covering 1,465 acres, is currently under development, with an Expression of Interest floated. The project is supported by an overall land bank of nearly 8,000 acres.
To further strengthen the ecosystem, the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority is developing a 350-acre Medical Device Park in Sector 28, equipped with advanced testing laboratories and an ASCA certification facility to reduce dependence on overseas testing.
In addition, a 250-acre Pharma Formulation Park is planned in Sector 7 near the Noida International Airport, aimed at enhancing export connectivity.
