Ujala Cygnus Adds 70 Beds to Strengthen Tier 2 & 3 Hospital Capacity
According to the hospital, the new beds will expand capacity across key Ujala Cygnus hospital locations, supporting access to quality care.
Ujala Cygnus Healthcare Services has received 70 hospital beds through a donation from Vijay Kumar Arora and Dr. Saurabh Arora to enhance hospital infrastructure in tier 2 and tier 3 cities.
The formal handover of the donation took place at a ceremony in Delhi. According to the hospital, the new beds will support access to quality care by expanding capacity across key Ujala Cygnus hospital locations.
In a statement, Ujala Cygnus said the addition will improve emergency response, intensive care, and post-operative services. The move is also expected to help reduce patient wait times and offer safer recovery environments.
Dr. Shuchin Bajaj, Founder & Director of Ujala Cygnus Healthcare Services, said, “I have always believed real change begins with individuals, not institutions. The generosity shown by the Arora family is a strong reminder that making a meaningful impact doesn’t require vast resources or big foundations - just empathy, clear intent, and the willingness to take action. At Ujala Cygnus, our mission is rooted in the belief that healthcare is a basic right, not a privilege.”
The hospital emphasized that this donation will benefit underserved communities by improving capacity in secondary city locations.
