TriHealth Completes Acquisition of Clinton Memorial Hospital in Ohio

The facility will be renamed TriHealth Clinton Regional Hospital and serve as a hub for the system’s specialized services, including women’s health, cancer, heart and vascular, neurosciences and stroke care.

Cincinnati-based TriHealth has acquired Clinton Memorial Hospital, a 140-bed facility in Wilmington, Ohio, marking its sixth acute care hospital.

The facility will be renamed TriHealth Clinton Regional Hospital and serve as a hub for the system’s specialized services, including women’s health, cancer, heart and vascular, neurosciences, and stroke care.

“This new name will extend TriHealth’s brand promise to ‘see, to hear and to heal … delivering surprisingly human care’ to the residents of Clinton County,” TriHealth President and CEO Mark Clement said in a Sept. 2 news release.

“And it will also affirm TriHealth’s commitment to invest in the hospital and expand services locally, establishing it as a regional hub for TriHealth’s exceptional, nationally recognized care.”

TriHealth first announced plans to acquire Clinton Memorial in June. Since then, senior leaders have worked with the Clinton County Commission, hospital leaders, and physicians to prepare for the transition. TriHealth has offered county primary care and women’s services since 2022.

As part of the integration, leadership appointments include Tom Daskalakis as president and COO. Daskalakis previously served as CEO of Clinton Memorial and chief administrative officer at UC West Chester Hospital in West Chester Township, Ohio. Bradley Boggus will continue as CFO, a position he has held for six years, while Debra Dozier will continue as CNO, a role she has held since July.

TriHealth said the acquisition reflects its broader philosophy of investing in technology and infrastructure to ensure patients in rural areas have access to the same level of care as those in urban centers.
