Thyme Care, CenterWell Partner to Expand Cancer Care Support Across Seven States

The partnership will enable primary care providers to offer oncology navigation and virtual support to patients managing cancer diagnoses.

Nashville-based Thyme Care has partnered with CenterWell Senior Primary Care and Conviva Senior Primary Care to provide cancer care support services through senior-focused primary care practices across seven U.S. states. The partnership will enable primary care providers to offer oncology navigation and virtual support to patients managing cancer diagnoses.

Under the collaboration, CenterWell and Conviva locations in Tennessee, South Carolina, North Carolina, Nevada, Florida, Georgia and Texas will gain access to Thyme Care’s oncology-trained clinicians and personalized care navigation services. The initiative is aimed at supporting patients throughout their cancer journey while maintaining coordination with their existing primary care teams.

Founded in 2020, Thyme Care operates a value-based cancer care platform focused on care navigation, symptom tracking and analytics. The company provides 24/7 virtual oncology navigation services designed to support patients between clinical visits and help them manage treatment-related challenges.

Its platform includes Thyme Box, a care management and analytics solution that supports oncology workflows, and Thyme Care Connect, a patient-facing tool that enables symptom monitoring, access to educational content and communication with care teams. Through the new partnership, patients served by CenterWell and Conviva practices will be able to access these tools alongside clinical navigation support.

According to CenterWell, the collaboration is intended to integrate oncology-focused support into primary care settings serving senior populations. Dr. Sanjay Shetty, president of CenterWell, said the partnership allows primary care physicians to extend coordinated care into cancer management while adding specialized oncology support for patients and providers.

The partnership follows Thyme Care’s recent funding and expansion activity. In September, the company raised $97 million in Series D financing and reported that it had reached profitability. The round brought Thyme Care’s total funding to $275 million.

Previously, the company secured $95 million in Series C financing in 2024, comprising $55 million in equity funding and $40 million in debt financing. In 2023, Thyme Care raised $60 million in Series B funding, co-led by Foresite Capital and Town Hall Ventures.

Separately, Thyme Care has expanded its presence in the Medicare Advantage segment through a partnership with Humana. That agreement focuses on delivering oncology support services to Medicare Advantage members across multiple states, including Michigan, New York, Illinois, Indiana, Tennessee, Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
