Telecom Egypt Taps Reliance Jio-Backed KareXpert for Secure Digital Healthcare Platform

The platform is set to integrate a Hospital Information Management System (HIMS) with unified electronic medical records and revenue cycle management tools.

Telecom Egypt has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with KareXpert, a Reliance Jio-backed health tech firm, to deploy a digital healthcare platform across the country.

The platform will run on a secure national cloud hosted within Egypt and aim to improve hospital operations through integrated digital systems.

The platform is set to integrate a Hospital Information Management System (HIMS) with unified electronic medical records and revenue cycle management tools. This will allow hospitals to maintain a unified view of clinical and administrative data while enhancing operational efficiency.

“Our collaboration with KareXpert is a result of this approach. We are transferring our technical expertise to the healthcare sector by offering hospitals a reliable, easy-to-deploy platform that protects patient data privacy and doubles operational efficiency, contributing to Egypt’s 2030 vision for sustainable digital transformation,” said Mohamed Nasr, Managing Director and CEO of Telecom Egypt.

KareXpert Brings Cross-Border Expertise to Egyptian Market

KareXpert’s system is designed to integrate with existing hospital infrastructure while offering a unified digital payment path. The solution also emphasizes data privacy and regulatory compliance.

The initiative supports Telecom Egypt’s broader strategy to expand from high-speed connectivity into national cloud, AI, and IoT-based services as part of Egypt’s Vision 2030 goals.
