Tata Elxsi, Bayer Open Global Tech Center for Radiology Devices in Pune

The center is aimed at co-developing advanced radiology devices and technologies to support early and accurate diagnosis and treatment of critical illnesses. 

Tata Elxsi has launched a global technology center for medical devices in partnership with Bayer, focusing on radiology. 

The facility, named the Bayer Development Centre in Radiology, is based in Pune, India.

The center is aimed at co-developing advanced radiology devices and technologies to support early and accurate diagnosis and treatment of critical illnesses. Dr. Konstanze Diefenbach, Head of Research & Development, Radiology, Bayer, said, “The center provides direct access to specialized engineering capabilities through Tata Elxsi, enabling the acceleration of the pipeline of advanced radiology devices while maintaining quality and reliability.”

According to the companies, the initiative aligns with Bayer’s mission to deliver innovative, safe, and compliant solutions to patients and clinical staff worldwide.

The Pune facility will provide engineering services for complex radiology devices, with an initial emphasis on Molecular Imaging. Its integrated model, covering design, development, and validation—is expected to accelerate time-to-market, improve cost efficiency, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
