The new facility is expected to address the region's urgent healthcare needs, focusing on critical and emergency care, cardiac sciences, and oncology, including radiation oncology.

SLG Hospitals and Ajeenkya DY Patil Healthcare have jointly entered a strategic management agreement to operate an 800-bed multi-speciality hospital in Nizampet, Hyderabad.

The new facility is expected to address the region's urgent healthcare needs, focusing on critical and emergency care, cardiac sciences, and oncology, including radiation oncology.

The hospital will be developed in phases, with advanced healthcare services introduced progressively as each stage becomes operational. This approach ensures that patient care and clinical services are scaled systematically while meeting immediate healthcare demands.

Abhay Ahuja, Managing Partner (India & Middle East) at UK-based Optimus Investments, which is advising the strategic management agreement, said, "This collaboration will serve as a benchmark for healthcare partnerships in India and will create a facility that sets new paradigms for patient care in the country."

The partnership combines SLG Hospitals’ clinical expertise and infrastructure with Ajeenkya DY Patil Healthcare’s operational framework. Together, the two entities aim to provide comprehensive care across multiple specialties while reducing the patient load on existing hospitals in Hyderabad.

By concentrating on high-demand areas such as critical and emergency care, cardiac sciences, and oncology, the hospital seeks to fill essential gaps of regional healthcare services. The facility’s radiation oncology capabilities are expected to complement existing oncology infrastructure and provide specialized treatment options within the city.

The development is positioned to progressively introduce advanced healthcare services while maintaining patient-centric operations, ensuring that medical infrastructure grows in line with demand.
