The Health Seva Plan aims to tackle critical healthcare needs by offering dedicated support for women’s health and childhood diseases.
Marking its 10th anniversary, Sir H N Reliance Foundation Hospital has introduced a significant healthcare initiative, the Health Seva Plan, focused on providing essential medical screenings and treatments to underserved sections of society.
Founder and Chairperson of Reliance Foundation, Nita Ambani, has announced that the new program will offer free screening and treatment for congenital heart disease among 50,000 children, cancer screenings for 50,000 women, and cervical cancer vaccinations for 10,000 adolescent girls.
Nita Ambani emphasized the long-standing mission of the hospital to expand healthcare access in India, particularly for vulnerable communities.
“For 10 years, Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital has been driven by our vision to make world-class healthcare accessible and affordable to every Indian. Together, we have touched millions of lives and offered hope to countless families. As we celebrate this milestone, we have launched a New Health Seva Plan, free of cost, for children and women from marginalized communities. For we believe that good health is the foundation of a prosperous nation, and healthy women and children are the bedrock of a thriving society,” Ambani said.
The Health Seva Plan aims to tackle critical healthcare needs by offering dedicated support for women’s health and childhood diseases.
Under the program, the hospital will conduct screenings for breast and cervical cancer among 50,000 women, providing follow-up treatment as necessary.
Additionally, the initiative will screen 50,000 children for congenital heart diseases and provide free treatments.
To further support young women, the plan includes the administration of free cervical cancer vaccinations for 10,000 adolescent girls, addressing a significant preventive healthcare gap.
This public health initiative marks a step towards reducing the disease burden associated with late detection and lack of access to primary care for cervical and breast cancers, both of which significantly impact women’s health outcomes in India.
The program reflects the broader goals of Reliance Foundation to champion healthcare initiatives that promote preventive care and medical support to underserved demographics.
Nita Ambani’s address underscored the enduring impact of affordable healthcare, stating, “We believe that good health is the foundation of a prosperous nation, and healthy women and children are the bedrock of a thriving society.”
