Mylab Discovery-backed healthtech Startup, Sanskritech has unveiled Swandook, an ultra-portable anytime health monitoring bag on March 5, 2024.

Per the startup, this innovative health monitoring bag, approved by the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO), promises to redefine healthcare delivery globally.

According to Pritam Kumawat, CEO & cofounder, Sanskritech, Swandook can conduct over 60 invasive and non-invasive health tests in real-time. FUrther, it addresses critical gaps in healthcare coverage, particularly in underserved areas. Moreover, this healthcare solution supplements existing healthcare infrastructure and introduces new avenues for health monitoring and preventive care, fostering a healthier society.

Smart Technology for Immediate Health Insights

The healthtech startup claims to boast cutting-edge technology, providing instant and accurate health reports to facilitate prompt decision-making for medical interventions.

This ultra-portable bag incorporates a telemedicine feature with essential diagnostic tools such as a webcam, dermoscopy, otoscope, and stethoscope. These features enable remote consultations, particularly beneficial for follow-up sessions, enhancing convenience for healthcare providers and patients.

Additionally, the design and functionality of Swandook are crafted for ease of use in various settings, ranging from urban clinics to rural community centers. Its portability is a key highlight, enabling healthcare professionals to deliver services directly at the patients' locations overcoming geographical and logistical barriers to healthcare access.

In an exclusive conversation with DHN, Kumawat highlighted Swandook's transformative role in improving healthcare accessibility, particularly in underserved areas. He said, "Swandook aims to address healthcare service gaps by providing unparalleled convenience and accessibility in health monitoring, especially in regions with limited infrastructure."

In response to inquiries about recent advancements in point-of-care diagnostic solutions, Kumawat informed that the affordability of POC testing devices, addressing the needs of India's large population unable to afford conventional diagnostics. According to him, rapid turnaround times offered by POC tests reduce the need for multiple visits, which is particularly beneficial in resource-limited settings.

"POC testing devices offer remarkable convenience and efficiency, reducing turnaround times and enabling routine analysis for millions of individuals in resource-constrained regions," Kumawat noted.

Talking about Swandook's key technological features, CEO Kumawat emphasized its comprehensive point-of-care diagnostics platform that is capable of conducting over 100 invasive and non-invasive health tests in real time. Highlighting Swandook’s offering, he said the health monitoring bag offers its users a complete assessment of their health status, from routine blood tests to infectious and non-communicable disease screenings.

Moreoever, the integrated telemedicine feature further enhances accessibility, enabling remote consultations and follow-ups with healthcare professionals. "Swandook's cutting-edge technology ensures instant and accurate reports, facilitating prompt analysis and action based on screening results, thereby enhancing healthcare accessibility," he added.

Recently, Sanskritech Smart Solutions launched 'Swayam AHM,' an advanced self-monitoring health diagnostic POCT system. This ATM-like kiosk allows individuals to undergo over 55 basic and advanced pathology tests with instant test reports. Additionally, Mylab Discovery Solutions introduced a solution in newborn screening (NBS) with the unveiling of MyNeoShield. This patent-pending point-of-care device promises swifter, more accessible, cost-effective screening methods to safeguard newborns from lifelong illnesses.

MyNeoShield facilitates all seven tests commonly conducted in newborn screening worldwide, addressing the shortcomings of traditional screening methods.
