The leading multi-speciality hospital in Pune, Ruby Hall Clinic, has partnered with the Central Railway Association to launch a 24x7 specialised emergency medical room.

The newly launched emergency room will have a doctor's consultation room and bed for patients. Further, a qualified doctor will be available round the clock to handle medical emergencies.

Additionally, a pharmacy has been launched to provide basic and essential medicines for immediate medical assistance to passengers facing any health concerns during their journey.

The collaboration aims to address the challenges railway commuters face during their journey. This move seeks to ensure passengers receive quick and affordable treatment in case of any medical issues while travelling.

Sharing his views, Dr PK Grant, chairman and managing trustee of Ruby Hall Clinic, said, ‘’The need for such a facility cannot be overstated, given the frequent medical emergencies that arise during train journeys. Heart attacks, strokes, train accidents, falls on the rail, and general emergencies and train accidents at railway stations are common occurrences that necessitate immediate medical attention’ The lack of a well-equipped medical facility in proximity to the railway station often results in delayed response time and can have grave consequences. Recognizing this pressing need, the Pune hospital and the Central Railway Association have come together to address this critical issue.’’

The move comes after the Supreme Court’s directive to establish emergency medical rooms across major railway stations. With thousands of passengers passing through daily, the new facility is expected to hugely benefit commuters as well as people in surrounding areas.

Founded in 1959, Ruby Hall Clinic is a renowned hospital in Pune. It aims to provide exceptional patient care by blending high-end technology and medical expertise with personalised care. The clinic covers a wide range of specialities and treats more than 30,000 inpatients and over 1.2 Lakh outpatients every year.

In another such significant development, the Apollo Adlux Hospital unveiled an advanced stroke clinic in Kerala. This advanced clinic offers stroke patients speedy access to a high-speciality hospital with a dedicated team of neurologists, neurosurgeons, and emergency medicine specialists.
