President Droupadi Murmu today inaugurated Yashoda Medcity in Ghaziabad, marking a major milestone for the region’s healthcare infrastructure.
The ceremony was attended by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, highlighting the national significance of the event.
The President’s visit follows an invitation extended by Dr. P.N. Arora, Chairman of Yashoda Medcity, along with Dr. Upasana Arora and Dr. Shubhang Arora. The inauguration featured a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, cultural performances, and a presentation of the hospital’s advanced medical facilities.
Dr. P.N. Arora said that Yashoda Medcity has been envisioned as a world-class healthcare destination equipped with advanced medical technology, expert doctors, and trained staff. “Our mission extends beyond treatment — it aims to promote preventive health education and patient-centric care,” he stated.
According to Dr. Arora, the new facility will offer comprehensive emergency services, a fully integrated digital health record system, and multi-specialty medical care under one roof. Each area of the hospital - from waiting lounges to patient wards and emergency units - has been designed to ensure comfort, safety, and accessibility.
Dr. Arora added that Yashoda Medcity aims to serve as a reliable and accessible healthcare hub for Ghaziabad and neighboring districts. “The institution will also contribute to medical research, innovation, and professional training through regular programs for young doctors and healthcare professionals to stay updated with the latest advancements in medical science,” he said.
The participation of the President, Defense Minister, and Chief Minister reflects the growing focus on strengthening regional healthcare systems. The new Medcity is expected to enhance access to advanced medical services and contribute to overall healthcare quality in Uttar Pradesh and the northern region.
Dr. Arora expressed confidence that Yashoda Medcity “will soon emerge as a symbol of medical excellence, compassion, and innovation,” adding that the initiative represents “a new chapter in healthcare for Ghaziabad where modern technology meets human empathy.”
