Plazza Raises $1.4 Mn to Expand Quick Medicine Delivery in Bengaluru

The startup plans to use the capital to expand its product range and increase its presence in Bengaluru. Currently operating one store in the city, it will add two more this year.

Quick medicine delivery startup Plazza, founded by former Zomato head of dining out Aman Priyadarshi, has raised $1.4 million in funding led by All In Capital.

Other participants in the round include Better Capital, Tracxn founder Abhishek Goyal, Bounce founder Vivekananda Hallekere, the Singhania family office, and the promoters of JK Tyre.

The startup plans to use the capital to expand its product range and increase its presence in Bengaluru. Currently operating one store in the city, it will add two more this year.

Plazza has adopted an omnichannel approach, combining app-based ordering with physical stores. It began with a store in Yemalur and is set to open 20 more outlets in the next 12 months. Delivery times range between 15 and 60 minutes.

“A typical pharmacy has 4,000-5,000 SKUs (stock keeping units), which is very small and doesn’t have all the medicines that customers need,” said Priyadarshi.

“We are challenging how pharma is retailed. We have 20,000 SKUs which can be directly purchased from our store or delivered.”

The company aims to diversify into categories such as healthy snacks, mother and baby care, elder care, and dermatology products across both its app and stores.

“So far, we have served 10,000 customers and the business is growing 25% weekly of late,” Priyadarshi said.

Plazza was founded in November 2024 by Priyadarshi and Aniruddha Sen, cofounder of Kenko Health, which shut down in August last year.

The funding comes as quick commerce platforms intensify their presence in medicine delivery. Instamart has partnered with Pharmeasy, Zepto has chosen an independent route, and Amazon has collaborated with Orange Health for diagnostics.
