Philips Integrates March of Dimes Maternal Health Content into Pregnancy+ App

In this initiative, clinically relevant content will be delivered on high-risk pregnancy topics like preterm birth, NICU preparation, vaccinations, and hypertensive disorders.

Royal Philips and March of Dimes have announced a new collaboration to enhance maternal health education through the Philips Avent Pregnancy+ app.

The integration will provide users access to essential content focused on topics such as preparing for a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) stay, preterm birth, vaccinations, and low-dose aspirin to prevent hypertensive disorders during pregnancy.

As part of this partnership, the app will feature content from March of Dimes’ “Low Dose, Big Benefits Campaign,” aimed at increasing awareness around the benefits of low-dose aspirin in clinically appropriate cases to prevent preeclampsia and other related conditions.

Brenda Kapner, Regional Business Unit Leader, Mother & Childcare, Philips North America, added, “As we seek solutions to address maternal health challenges, this initiative can contribute to meaningful change. By combining our expertise and resources with those of March of Dimes, we aim to deliver accessible education and insights while utilizing advanced data analysis to better understand and meet the needs of mothers and babies. Together, we can significantly impact maternal and child health outcomes.”

Philips and March of Dimes will also use aggregated data and in-app surveys to gain insights into maternal health, helping both organizations to shape further educational and support tools tailored to the needs of mothers and infants.

“Our partnership with Philips reflects our shared commitment to ensuring families have access to trusted, timely information throughout pregnancy,” said Kelly Ernst, Senior Vice President and Chief Impact Officer at March of Dimes. “Whether through our Mom and Baby Mobile Health Centers® or expanding digital health literacy via the Pregnancy+ app, we’re meeting families where they are. Initiatives like this represent a meaningful step forward in our mission to improve health outcomes for all moms and babies—and partnerships like this make that progress possible.”
