Pacific OneHealth Commits INR 300 Cr to Build Micro Hospital Network Across India

The company said the initiative is aimed at addressing gaps in healthcare access, with the first phase beginning with an investment of INR 100 crore.

Pacific OneHealth has announced a committed investment of INR 300 crore to develop a network of micro hospitals across North, Central, East, and North-East India.

The company said the initiative is aimed at addressing gaps in healthcare access, with the first phase beginning with an investment of INR 100 crore. The network is expected to serve approximately half a million people by 2030.

According to the company, the micro hospital model is designed to function between neighbourhood clinics and tertiary hospitals. These facilities will offer services including 24×7 emergency care, minimally invasive surgeries, joint replacement procedures, diagnostics, short-stay admissions, day-care surgeries, chronic disease management, and ICU and critical care services.

Saket Bansal said the initiative responds to growing pressures in India’s healthcare system. “India is at an inflection point in healthcare delivery. With chronic disease rising and costs escalating, the strain on tertiary hospitals underlines the need for a right-sized solution that puts patients at the centre. Through this ₹300 crore investment, we are building a financially sustainable micro hospital network that brings quality care closer to patients, reduces avoidable referrals, and strengthens continuity of care, without compromising on outcomes.”

The company stated that the micro hospitals will typically operate with 15 to 75 beds and function as specialty care hubs. The facilities are intended to provide a higher level of care than standalone clinics while operating at a smaller scale than large hospital chains. The model also incorporates infrastructure planning, clinical staffing, and digital workflows to support care coordination.

Swadeep Srivastava said the initiative aims to build an integrated care ecosystem. “Our mission is to reimagine healthcare as a coordinated journey rather than a series of isolated interventions. By combining micro hospitals with home healthcare, eldercare, and specialised care pathways, we aim to create a connected ecosystem that supports prevention, chronic care, and recovery.”

The company also plans to develop an omnichannel healthcare system that includes wellness services, preventive care programmes, corporate wellness initiatives, and community outreach such as health camps.

Industry observers note that healthcare systems are exploring such models as they address rising non-communicable diseases, including diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular disorders, and metabolic conditions that require long-term monitoring and treatment.

Pacific OneHealth said the first set of micro hospitals will be commissioned in urban and peri-urban locations, with further expansion planned in phases based on regional demand and infrastructure readiness.
