P D Hinduja Hospital Launches Advanced Neuro-Rehabilitation Centre in Mumbai
The facility integrates specialised therapies and advanced rehabilitation technology under one roof to help patients regain function and independence.
P D Hinduja Hospital & Medical Research Centre has inaugurated a state-of-the-art Neuro Rehabilitation Centre in Mumbai, offering comprehensive care for patients recovering from neurological conditions. The facility integrates specialised therapies and advanced rehabilitation technology under one roof to help patients regain function and independence.
The centre caters to patients recovering from stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, Guillain-Barré Syndrome, multiple sclerosis, and post brain or spinal tumour surgery. Experts note that recovery from these conditions requires structured neuro rehabilitation, which extends beyond medication or surgery, focusing on mobility, function, and daily living skills.
The facility features a multi-disciplinary team of physicians, physical, occupational, speech and swallow, and cognitive therapy specialists. Advanced robotic and technology-assisted devices, including LOKOMAT, AMADEO, DIEGO, and TYMO, support precise retraining of walking, hand function, balance, posture, and cognitive skills. The centre is led by Dr. Nitin A Menon, a PM&R physician with over a decade of experience, supported by trained rehabilitation professionals to ensure coordinated, clinically guided recovery programmes.
Gautam Khanna, CEO of P D Hinduja Hospital & MRC, said, “Healthcare is not only about treating disease but about restoring people to healthy, productive and fulfilling lives. With our Neuro Rehabilitation Centre, we are creating an ecosystem that enables patients to heal, regain independence, and return to society with confidence.”
By providing all therapies under one roof, the centre allows early intervention, continuous monitoring, and measurable progress. Patients benefit from coordinated care that accelerates recovery, reduces long-term disability, and improves functional independence. The rehabilitation wing is designed to support patients at every stage, with open therapy areas, natural light, and calming interiors to enhance focus, confidence, and healing.
The launch comes amid a rising burden of stroke and neurological disorders in India. Through a combination of clinical expertise, advanced technology, and a comprehensive medical ecosystem, P D Hinduja Hospital aims to strengthen long-term recovery and improve quality of life for patients across Mumbai and nearby regions.
