Oxygen Times Launches SomniScan, India’s First Branded At-Home Sleep Diagnostic Solution

The company said SomniScan is designed to address the growing burden of undiagnosed sleep disorders in India by offering hospital-grade sleep studies conducted at home.

New Delhi-based startup Oxygen Times has launched SomniScan, positioned as India’s first branded at-home sleep diagnostic solution, aimed at expanding access to clinically validated sleep testing outside hospital settings.

The company said SomniScan is designed to address the growing burden of undiagnosed sleep disorders in India by offering hospital-grade sleep studies conducted at home. The solution follows the latest AASM 3.0 standards and incorporates manual scoring and clinical interpretation by certified sleep professionals.

Unlike several home-based sleep tests that rely primarily on automated analysis, SomniScan includes detailed manual scoring to enhance diagnostic accuracy. The service is designed to detect abnormalities in breathing patterns, oxygen desaturation, airflow limitations, snoring severity, and changes in body position during sleep.

The platform offers a Level 3 sleep study suitable for identifying conditions such as obstructive sleep apnea at a starting price of ₹1,899. For patients requiring more comprehensive assessment, advanced polysomnography options are available at approximately ₹6,000. The company stated that reports are delivered within 24 hours to support timely clinical decision-making and treatment planning.

Sleep disorders, including obstructive sleep apnea, remain significantly underdiagnosed in India, often due to limited access to sleep labs and the cost and inconvenience associated with in-hospital studies. By shifting diagnostic capability into home settings, Oxygen Times aims to reduce barriers to testing while maintaining clinical standards typically associated with hospital-based sleep laboratories.

SomniScan is being introduced as a standardized, branded offering in a market where home sleep testing services are often fragmented and vary in clinical oversight. The company indicated that the focus remains on combining affordability with compliance to established diagnostic protocols.

The launch marks Oxygen Times’ entry into structured, at-home sleep diagnostics as demand grows for accessible and clinically reliable sleep health solutions across urban and semi-urban regions in India.
