Oscar Health Launches AI-Driven Health Plans for Women and Chronic Disease Patients

Oscar Health has unveiled a new suite of health plans integrated with artificial intelligence features aimed at enhancing patient care management.
The company’s AI agent, Oswell, assists plan members in managing symptoms, medication refills and provides data to healthcare providers for informed decision-making.
"Oswell taps into medical records, care guide chats, and plan benefits to help patients review their symptoms, understand medications, explain common test results, and check drug interactions," the company stated. The AI agent also prepares a list of questions for patients to discuss with their doctors and provides detailed information on plan coverage and associated costs.
Among the newly launched offerings, HelloMeno is a health plan designed for women undergoing perimenopause and menopause. The plan focuses on early intervention and evidence-based symptom treatment. In addition, Oscar Health introduced a plan for members with diabetes, asthma, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, which provides access to low-cost medications, free health coaching, wellness applications, and medical devices.
"Oscar’s lineup of new products brings surprising new experiences and rewards to help members manage their health and get the most out of their plan. Everyone should be able to buy health coverage on their terms. We call it health insurance for real life," said Mark Bertolini, CEO of Oscar Health.
The developments follow a partnership announced in August between Oscar Health and supermarket chain Hy-Vee, offering a health insurance plan aimed at reducing employer costs while providing employees with concierge-style care at a fixed price. Employees enrolled in the Hy-Vee Health with Oscar plan gain access to unlimited primary care, 24/7 urgent care, lab tests, x-rays, select medications, and affordable prescriptions at Hy-Vee pharmacies.
Oscar Health is also entering the Affordable Care Act marketplace in New Jersey starting in 2025. The company plans to introduce products tailored to personal health needs and cultural preferences, ensuring high-quality network access aligned with individual schedules and neighborhoods.
